Hi,
I've got a new laptop. On my old one, I used Nero to view VOB files that I had ripped. Now, I don't have a program to view them. Windows media player deosn't open them. I'd rather not have to buy Nero- again; I think it came with my other laptop. Anyway, are there freeware programs that will play VOB's?
Thanks

in addition to the suggestions made by neuron2,
MPlayer (SMPlayer GUI)
ZoomPlayer
or if you already purchased Nero (even if it was included on the old laptop, you paid for it;)), you don't have to purchase it again to re-install it on the new laptop; you should be able to download the product from their website and enter your key/license from the old one (I don't know though, because I don't use Nero).

Hi!
Just change the extender to ".MPG" and it should play in Windows Media Player...

Just change the extender to ".MPG"
You meant to say "change the filename extension from VOB to MPG", didn't you? Because extender (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extender) has quite different meaning I think...

@kypec
You are most certainly correct - Although I would hope that the OP would not think I was referring to surimi ;>}
