Is it possible to have avisynth trim the audio without reencoding it? I am trying to cut commercials out of a recorded HDTV program, and want to use avisynth to be frame accurate.

No. When using avisynth you always re-encode

Hi drmuffin. I think it's not possible with avisynth to trim audio without reencoding because avisynth allways convert audio sources in wav pcm.
Same for video.

You can use DelayCut or BeSplit.
There are also a MeGUI tool (based in BeSplit): Audio Cutter
Need a .clt file (cut points) generated with other MeGUI tool: AVS Cutter
