View Full Version : convert hd-dvd subtitles to BD?

After having done some searches, I am not finding anything, but I'm no expert.

If I demux an EVO from HD-DVD with eac3to or evodemux, the .sup files are not readable by tsmuxer. Is there a way to convert them? tsmuxer is supposed to take srt files, but if I convert the .sup files to srt with subtitle creator, tsmuxer doesn't complain, but also doesn't do anything with them (at least they don't play back as avchd). It seems subtitleCreator creates .png files, and it looks like tsmuxer needs text files? Also tried subtitleworkshop, but it won't read .sup files.

Are there any alternatives?

Thanks

AFAIK, it doesn't export to srt?
You can use SupRead to get an srt or you may remux demuxed sup to mkv with video and later demux again that mkv to srt via eac3to.

@rica: Read his question again. He needs to convert HD-DVD SUP subtitles to usable BD SUP format, which is accepted by tsMuxeR and that's exactly what BDsup2sub does.
