I have a bunch of videos on a NFS, and DGindex stops responding when I try to open any of them. Also, any D2Vs created before I switched to this NFS no longer function. I have this funny feeling that this is a stupid question, but is there anything I can do to work around this? I've tried the old mpegdecoder.dll (2.03a) and it produces d2vs, but I'm working with some HD mpeg2 files and it decodes them as green blobs (no suprise). Thanks for reading!

Alright, I finally found a post where neuron2 mentions a network drive with regard to DGIndex,
http://forum.doom9.org/archive/index.php/t-147959.html
"Your file is not on a network drive is it? If the parser can't see good data within 3 seconds, you can get that error."

Unfortunately, the person he was talking to didn't actually have that issue (he was just speculating as I gather). So I'm guessing I'm probably out of luck, unless somebody else thinks otherwise. I wish I was a bit more network savvy so I could give more details...

In an attempt to debug this I can make a test version with a longer timeout. Would you like to try that?

And what kind of files are they? Transport? Program stream? ES?

And does DGIndex itself hang, or just the script when served?

Ah! That would be fantastic! Thank you so much for the reply.

You know what, I just realized I'm an idiot and apparently had my network controller software set up wrong (I've been tinkering with it since reading about the timeout issue). So sorry for bothering you about it! I'm trying to learn myself to set up some network stuff, and I just solved my own problem (at least as far as I can tell for now). I really apreciate the attention though.

To answer your questions anyways, I'm working with 1080p program and transport streams which locked DGIndex up when I dropped them in. The scripts that I'd already generated before would lock up Virtualdub and MPC when I attempted to load/play them (they're the only things I have that I use the scripts with).

Warm regards.

I love this kind of problem resolution! Feel free to post again if you have any problems that you think I can help you with.
