Hello and thanks for any hlep you can offer, I have vista now instead of xp. the first time you shrink a movie it saves a file so if you shrink the same movie again it doesn't have to analyse it again you only have to back it up. I knew where to find the file so I could delete them. I can't find them on Vista.
Does anyone know where to find them.

On Windows XP the Analysis Results files are located in C:\Documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\DVD Shrink

At least that's where mines are. I guess there must be some similar All Users folder on Vista.
Or simply just perform a search including system folders on *Analysis*Results*

Hi!

Under Vista, you'll find it in a folder named "ProgramData"...

See my tiny but important correction in my previous post - There should be NO space between "Program" and "Data".

Search for "ProgramData" on your C:\ drive - It's a "HIDDEN" folder...

That's true only when a single account is on that computer (99.99% of the cases). On a multi-user PC it's on the same directory but on each users' "home", like : C:\Documents and settings\user1982\Application Data\DVD Shrink. You should also substitute the C: with the real partition where your data resides (again 99.999% is C:).

A program called CCleaner let's you clean the DVDShrink analysis files (and a whole lot more), maybe that's an easy solution for you :)

I have gone to ProgramData on the search and still con not find the analysis files. I have tried the cccleaner and that doesn't remove them as the computer remembers the disc in shrink and will go straight to backup. If anyone has any other ideas or paths please share. I appreciate the help.
Thanks llm

Have you changed your settings (as I previously mentioned) to make "hidden" files and folders visible?

search for archives and folders using this:

Analysis Results*.*

Yes I have made sure that the hidden files will show. And I have searched for analysis files, shrink files, and anyhino else I could think of. I know they are there...... it's driving me mad !!!!!
Thanks for any help that you have given and if you think of anything else...please let me know.

Winkey+r, type in %allusersprofile%\DVD Shrink

Using % is better as you don't need to type in the whole path or enable showing hidden folders.
