Converting .vob >>> .mpg

Hi all

I need to convert a 16 minute .vob file to mpeg (or wmv or avi will do). I don't need any fancy bells or whistles, batch processing and all the rest of it - just something cheap (better free:):):):)) that will convert the whole 16 minute thing with no mess and no fuss.

I'm a bit of a newb at this side of things, so the less options there are for me to fiddle with the better really. I've done a quick Google, but there's tons of stuff to choose from, and they all say free until you get to their website:eek:.

Any suggestions anyone?

A .vob file is a "mpeg file".

If copied from a DVD it is a MPEG-2 program file that you can play with many free players, like VLC or MPC.

If your player can't play the file, rename it to *.mpg and try to play it again.
