Is it possible to compile here, or include a text file with all available hidden ini commands for BDRB. Would help testing if people where unstantly aware of other modes and switches they could use.
Thanks.

Thanks. I think its well known (at least in this forum) how fond I am of documentation. :;)

But, as they say in the men's room: the job's not over until the paperwork is done. Give me a little time and I'll post them, I'm working another issue right now.

Ok. I put them into a text file and added it to the package. Here they are (at least the public ones):

[Options]
THREADS=n n represents the number of threads to use in X264, default is "auto"
FREE_PROCESSOR=n subtract n from the processor count (leaves n processors free for other tasks)
FIXED_CRF=n n = 10..50 - force CRF encoding to use this CRF value (size control disappears)
FIX_CLPI=n n = 0/1 - if set to 1, BD-RB fixes CLPI file, only useful on old TSMUXER versions
KEEP_INTERLACING=n n = 0/1 - if set to 1, BD-RB will not convert any interlaced sources to progressive
MIN_M2TS_SIZE=n n = minimum size required for BD-RB processing on BD-25 in MB, default is 100
SHOW_ENCODER=n n = 0/1 - if set to 1, BD-RB will show the X264 window during encoding
QUICK_CRF=n n = CRF value for "Quick Extras" encoding, defaults are BD5=30,BD9=28,BD25=23
FORCE_ENCODE=n n = 0/1 - if set to 1, BD-RB will never check to see if original video will fit
PROCESS_SECONDARY=n n = 0/1 - if set to 0, BD-RB will not process secondary audio/video on full backup
NO_MBTREE=n n = 0/1 - if set to 1, BD-RB will disable MBTREE in encodes

[Paths]
NICAUDIO= Change the path for NICAUDIO.DLL
TSMUXER= Change the path for TSMUXER.EXE
WAVI= Change the path for WAVI.EXE
AFTEN= Change the path for AFTEN.EXE
DECOMB= Change the path for DECOMB521.DLL
MKVMERGE= Change the path for MKVMERGE.EXE

Warning: I update these (add) frequently.

Is there an option to add my own commandline, too? or to set the Movie bitrate Manually and not by BD rebuilder?

Sorry, but I have no intention of allowing people to screw up the output and then come to me with a bug report. I've been down that road before. On DVD-Rebuilder I'd say I spent half of my beta period trying to fix things that were self-inflicted -- but the person making the bug report was convinced they didn't need to mention their pre-processing or "customization" because "it wouldn't have any effect on that".

It always did.

Interestingly these folks always seemed to be the most vocal too.

Ok, that isnt a big issue for me :)
it was just an idea, after i've seen that BD rebuilder set the bitrate to 5689 for the terminator 2 skynet edition. And thats very low for a bd25 backup :/
So now ive to switch between megui and bd rebuilder for better results ;)

warm regards jef

warm regards jef You're probably thinking in MPEG-2 terms. 5689Kbs goes a lot further with AVC. Besides, increasing the bitrate will only make it fail to fit on your desired destination media. How do you get better results with the same encoder and the same output size requirements?

If you decide to use MeGUI combined with BD-RB that's your choice. But that also means I won't respond to your bug reports.

Good luck.

mh, i dont think in mpeg2 ;)
i have seen macroblocks on my 23''cinema display and on the 40" too. And that was "quality slower"?

the problem was that BD rebuilder said, oh about 5 hours content? why not using low bitrate:) to fit it to 25 gb..
Maybe the tool get confused by the terminator 2 disk? there are diferent versions of the movie on the disc... i dont know

What was the size of the output? If BD-RB set the bitrate to 5Mbs -- it was because that's what it needed to make it fit. Of course, there's always the chance that it made a mistake. If so it would show in the overall output size.

18,79 Gb :(
