I want to make a .MKV file with two audio files in it. I have some anime synchronizated in my language, and english one. I've used AoA Audio Extractor Platinum to extract audio file from both videos, English and Serbian one. It saved me a MP3 files by default. I've heard you can do the same thing with VirtualDub, so, i tried that too. I saved audio files from both video files in WAV (I think that's the only one which support VirtualDub). My question is... what should i use for audio? MP3 or WAV?
P.S. English audios has the same size with VirtualDub and AoA Audio Extractor, but Serbian one doesn't. When i load Serbian one with VirtualDub, it shows this error:

AVI: Variable bitrate (VBR) audio detected. VBR audio in AVI is
non-standard and you may encounter sync errors up to 2946ms when
attempting to extract WAV files or playing in some players. If this is a
problem, use Full Processing mode is recommended to decompress or
recompress the audio. (This warning can be disabled in Options,
Preferences, AVI. bitrate: 107.0 ± 12.6 kbps)

I select "Save WAV" then, but when it's saved, bit rate is lower (106kbps instead of 128kbps) and size is little smaller.

Any ideas? I guess i'll use MP3 just because of this error, but tell me what's better to use anyway... If i experience some problem with all this thing, i'll let you know right away. Thanks!
P.S. I've used .AAC audio for .MKV. I think that's the best. But, i'm confused now... do i need to use MeGUI or similar programs for .MKV converting, so i could actually use MKVMerge to merge all the files together, or i could just add .AVI file as video, and .MP3 as audio?

Easy, Add the two avi files in MkvMergeGUI, uncheck the unwanted video stream and Start Muxing to the new .mkv

WAV file is a container with a little header and the mp3 file inside. Use always VirtualDubMod to extract/mux audio in avi container (Streams -> Stream list -> Demux)

Mp3 VBR (variable bitrate) is not supported in avi container, maybe your serbian track go out of sync.

The best option is not recode if is not necesary.

Your problem is related to the fact that one audio track is VBR, variable bit rate, which varies (is not constant like you're used to see like 128kbps or 192kbps etc.).

To keep them in synch you can use the fullprocessing option for audio and save it as WAV. Then reencode it as you like, if you want (remember, its size is huge, similar to a CD audio - the easiest comparison). The "damage" to the audio is minimal (for anime).

Thanks for your answers, but i wont use any of these programs. I extracted audio files with MeGUI (Nero AAC) and still encoding video file with the same tool. I've heard MeGUI is kinda buggy... I'll try out HandBrake then too. Also, i have a problem when encoding video. When i use Avysinth to cut black bars on video, it wont start encoding. It just shows "error", and wont start the process. I can't use avysinth now, but i don't need it so much... :) I would like to know why this error occur. Thanks again!
