Have a .mkv with a 8-channel-FLAC-file (already demuxed with mkvmerge) and need to encode the audio-file to DTS or AC3 to watch the .mkv on a Networked-Media-Tank (iStar Mini).
I searched the forum and the FAQs but didn't find infos. Well, I already found out that I can't use BeSweet and Ease Audio Converter (just closes when loading the file).
Is foobar2000 the tool I need?

Obviously did not search very hard. This was three threads down from yours with over one million views!

Yes, you're right. I only searched for "flac" in threadtitles and with Ctrl+F in the FAQs ^^ (and read some threads about AC3 and flac but nowhere a hint to convert a multi-channel-flac.)
Whatever, I successfully converted the flac-file to a 5.1-AC3, thanks.
