after i upgrade the nvidia video driver i think

in coreavc before (older driver) the cuda icone was gray (could not enalbe it)

and now i can enable it but it don't work

but when i tested by curiosity powerdvd codec again

i was surprised it work on most files

when i uncheck dxva option under pdvd codec setting : it say dxva 1 : uncheck

but it don't work on all files , 3 videos 720p files (x264 level 4.1) mpchc stop playing after 10sec , i only have sound after 10sec

and 1 file @ level 3.1 720p is unplayable

so dxva works on x264 with gf 7

yep but you don't have deblocking support :)

Powerdvd codecs are usually lock to prevent users from using them outside of Powerdvd (mainly because of licensing issues) so you may not be able to reliably playback all your files with this method.

ok i didn't notice it

ok if it does not debloking with that methode on pdvd codec than it s not faster than coreavc with debloking disable it s same cpu usage

CoreAVC use Cuda for hadrware accell, PowerDVD dont, PDVD use DXVA2 through PureVideo Geforce 7xxx dont support CUDA, so its normal you cant activate its in CoreAVC

In others terms, PDVD h264 codec can be used outside from PDVD, you can configure it and use for other DS players.
