I have bluerays that I've backed up to a media server. I'd like to put them on DVD so they will play on my portable DVD player I take with me on trips. What's the easiest way to do this? Is Mkvtovob a good program to use? Also any idea on how I could convert movies for the PSP? (More interested in taking my x264(now m2ts for the ps3) and converting them for DVD playback?

Sorry I did some searching and wasn't finding any answers to this exactly.

MKV2VOB is not going to create DVD compliant files for you, it is used for PS3's it demuxes MKV's then remuxes them to VOB's so the PS3 will play them....
Your better off sticking with M2TS or MP4 containers for PS3....

To convert MKV's and other formats to MP4 suitable for PSP you can use HandBrake, it's cross platform (Windows, Mac and Linux)
To convert video's to DVD you could try DeVeDe, again its cross platform...
DVD Flick is also easy and quick but Windows only.

You never mentioned which OS you use (i'll assume Windows), if you want to know which applications to use you should atleast give people some information about your PC otherwise we have no idea and just go on assumption.....
