It doesn't matter, is the same speaker pair and position regardless of what they call it: rear, surround, etc...
Some formats put the surround channels in the back, so they call them "rear channels", other formats put the surround channels at the sides, calling them "surround channels". It's just a name.
Also, 192kbps is low for LC AAC, what did you use to encode? neroaacenc or other?

192 kbps might be low for LC encoding, neroaacenc usually switches between LC and HE at 90~ kbps for a stereo file.
I would tell you to use neroaacenc for aac encoding at 256 kbps for LC.
For images, is better to use an image host than as an attachment.

Aften is an AC3 encoder, not an AAC encoder. Does that Aften Configuration window appears when you want to configure AAC parameters?
You can download neroaacenc and SNG (Simple NeroaacEnc GUI), neroaacenc from nero's website and SNG from the links on this forum.
Neroaacenc: http://www.nero.com/eng/downloads-nerodigital-nero-aac-codec.php
SNG: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=110970
You should use a VBR level that'll give you an approx. bitrate of 256 kbps and up if you want LC. Try with 0.35 for a start, and keep trying until you get the desired result. Know that the same VBR parameter (for example: 0.40) gives different bitrates for a stereo file that it does for a 5.1 channels file.
Like if you choose VBR 0.30 and that gives you a 160 kbps stereo file, the same 0.30 should produce a 5.1-ch file that is 2.6666x times bigger (like 384 kbps), but it doesn't.

if you don't want to change your work flow use aac(faac) from avidemux with minimum 256kb (i recommend 320kb) for 5.1 sound and minimum 128kb (i recommend 160kb) for 2.0 sound (stereo)...

No, it does not mean that and it's not a problem to answer your question.
You can use Avidemux, but you will need to set the correct bitrate for AAC if possible to something equal or higher than 256
kbps, like b66pak said.
If you were able to encode the audio to AAC 192 kbps, than you can encode it to AAC 256 kbps or more.
You just need to find out how to set the bitrate to 256 kbps in avidemux.
