I'm hoping someone here can help me out.

After running my movies through TsMuxer to my external HD I can only play them by chapter in other words the movie will not play through to the end it stops at the end of each chapter and I have to start it back up on the next chapter. I have tried all the different settings for chapters in TsMuxer but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong ?

Thanks

Hi!

This appears to be a duplicate of your earlier thread at:

Obviously (judging from your post in the other thread) you're trying to play m2ts/mts files directly from XMB, but not in AVCHD mode. If this is not the case, please post the version of tsMuxeR that you're using and the exact steps you're taking.

I have tried to play the movies using AVCHD manager with the same results.

You're confusing the the terms.

1) Open tsmuxer GUI
2) Load your video and select 4000MiB size split
3) Select AVCHD mode
4) Process the video and you'll get ..\BDMV and ..\CERTIFICATE folders
5) Open your USB HDD
6) Create AVCHD folder in the root folder of your USB disk ( X: ) -> X:\AVCHD\
7) Copy BDMV folder inside X:\AVCHD\ so you'll have X:\AVCHD\BDMV\index.bdmv
8) Copy AVCHD Manager to the root of the usb (X:\) and start it
9) Select "AVCHD" folder and click "AVCHD me"
10) Detach the USB disk and connect it to your PS3
11) Go to VIDEO, scroll to your External usb HDD
12) Click "X"-button (not triangle)
13) You will see an icon "AVCHD"
14) Click "X" again.

Sequential playback has nothing to do with AVCHD playback mode. You're using XMB player, which does not support TrueHD and DTS audio, does not support subtitles, chapters and VC-1 video.

I have been using eac3to to reformate the TrueHD or DTS to ac3 and muxing the video and audio, are you saying that the PS3 will support the TrueHD and DTS audio without changing the audio with eac3to to ac3 ?

Yes, if you follow the steps I described above. And you'll get best results if your video files are 720x480, 720x576, 1280x720, 1440x1080 or 1920x1080.

Thanks for the help. I will set up my next one the way your saying and use the AVCHD instead of the XMB Player

You can try multiAVCHD (http://multiavchd.deanbg.com/tutorial.php#output), which will allow you to put multiple video files in the same AVCHD folder.
