Great news! The DVD-A plugin opens and navigates the AUDIO_TS.IFO correctly
( so far at least... :o )
The search bar and the gapless playback are working fine. :)

Is there a main forum where to discuss this plug-in, or is this it?
I have some questions. Specifically, how does the plug-in decide which version to decode (most DVD-A's have a 2 channel version and a 5.1 channel version)? Or, does it always default to the 5.1 channel mix? There don't seem to be any decoder options / preferences.

Go to hydrogenaudio.org and look in the fb2k plugins subforum.I searched, but didn't find a thread there specifically for dvdadecoder, just a few mentions of it. Did I miss it?

foobar2000 simply shows all tracks contained in the DVD-A album.
Then the user selects which ones he/she wants to hear.
HTH.

Great, the AVSforum discussion looks to be the most comprehensive one. I'll take further discussion there.

HTH.Ok, thanks. I guess I was getting thrown off because I only saw a multichannel listing and the album also has a two channel version as well. I'll have to take a closer look at it when I have more time.

Uh, if one was to need some sample/test material, what's the best place to look? Non-retail of course.

Here's one I've used for testing my DVD-A standalone players before (haven't tested in foobar2000 though): it's free (legal), has a 96/24/5.1 track plus a 96/24/stereo track. You download it as a DVD ISO.

Overdue update :o to the ChangeLog:
02/17/2010:
Version 0.3.5 - Foobar 0.9.4.X support
OBS.: considering the thread @ the AVS Forum (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1160148&page=7) froze itself on April 22, I presume the DVD-A plugin has finally become "sufficiently" stable and without major issues, bugs or design flaws. :)

09/08/10:
Version 0.3.6 - Replaygain and tag multiple values supported in DVD-Audio disc metadata.
10/04/10:
Version 0.4.1 - Experimental - Dolby TrueHD files playback added.
This plugin is capable to decode DTS-HD content.
This plugin contains proprietary DTS-HD library code. To use this plugin you should have license for ArcSoft TMT software.
USE:
Put foo_input_dtshd.dll into foobar200\components subfolder. Then open *.DTSHD or *.DTSMA file for playback.
CHANGELOG:
10/05/10:
Version 0.1.1 - Experimental - The first.

Version 0.4.1 - Experimental - Dolby TrueHD files playback added.
Seems work fine (bit-identical to eac3to decode)
A bug detected with 7.1: the Side channels converted like Back channels.
This plugin is capable to decode DTS-HD content.
Version 0.1.1 - Experimental - The first.
Also bit-identical to eac3to arcsoft decode.
A big bug: finish before the end of file.
A dtshd of 64 sec. is showed like 58 sec. and converted only first 47 sec.
