I was backing up my original Max Payne Blu Ray movie only and the logs says it re-encoded 25/25 of the vid streams but said it failed in attempt to multiplex. Wasnt sure if I should post it here or start a new thread.

Can you post the contents of MUX_MOVIE_ONLY.meta?

[Edit] Hmmm... just noticed that the first stream was not reencoded... that shouldn't happen on a MOVIE-ONLY encode unless all the others could have been used intact also...

If the original wasn't AVC, you'd get the error in muxing because they aren't all the same type of video stream. I'll try the same with Max Payne and see what I get.

OK found the file, I take it I need to find a .meta extractor?

OK found the file, I take it I need to find a .meta extractor? It's just a short text file. You can open it with NOTEPAD and cut/paste the contents here.

You'd think so -- but BD-RB did reencode most of it... and not all of it -- so something needs to be fixed! :(

Hope this is it.

Looks like no reencoding is even necessary for BD-25 backup.

I usualy look to see how big the movie only m2ts file is by looking in the ripped movie folder for the largest m2ts file stream and some movies have like one main m2ts file for the movie, but with Max Payne it was like a bunch of smaller m2ts files. Even with regular dvd`s I usualy just do movie only back ups if I want to watch the extras I can always just put the original in. Dont know if that would make a difference. i started this one before bed last night and didnt look to see what BD Rebuilder said its size was for movie only.

Well new beta worked fine on The Matrix Revolutions but still doing it on Max Payne. Difference is The Matrix Revolutions was a single 22.6gb m2ts stream for the movie and Max Payne is a bunch of smallers m2ts streams for the movie. Also using Verbatim RE discs.

If I remember correctly, Max Payne was a payne-in-the-ass...:p
With this one, I'm pretty sure I remember that I had to merge the multi-m2ts files together first using either TSMuxer outputting to Bluray format, or TSSplitter and then TSMuxer to Bluray format...then the resulting single movie-only Bluray files encoded properly thru BD-RB...
Try that first....Just load the movie playlist into TSMuxer and output a movie-only bluray files of Max Payne and then run it thru BD-RB.

Something about this Bluray was authored funky, and I think I remember it had issues with some pixelating or audio sync issues with earlier betas of BD-RB...

Anyways, just a suggestion Tom...;)

Another thing I noticed other then the many multiple m2ts files that make up the movie is that it goes from like 00000 to 000002, there is no 000001 m2ts stream. Dont know if that would make a difference.

Every Bluray has it's own numbers that they use to number their m2ts files... some start at .00200 and go to say like .00505... or so

BDInfo shows you how those different numbered m2ts comprises of each playlist...
