About 6 months ago I put a new graphics card in to my PC. Its a Sparkle 250MB/128 bit AGP. Worked fine till today then nothing. Put my old one in still nothing. The PC sounds as if its booting up. Pluged my monitor into my laptop and that works fine. The PC is by Evesham,(UK make) and is 4 and a half years old. It is very clean and had some new RAM and a hardrive about 12 months ago

How far in the boot process can you get?
Does anything show up when you boot, like the BIOS screen (your motherboard's make shows up).

If yes, try going into safemode (press F8) before the Windows loading screen comes up.
Change your resolution to something lower in safe-mode and restart the computer. (Right-click desktop, Properties, settings tab)

Nothing on the screen at all. After 5 seconds the monitor shows "no signal". I suspect the motherboard has gone but open to all advice as I am a novice on these things.
