I have a very problematic dvd on hand...

After ripping to hdd, and running FixVTS on it the dvd still will not play. MPC and VLC Player both open it then immediately go to STOP.

I am hoping there's a way to get this to jump to the menu somehow within PgcEdit?

I don't know what I'd need to upload here for assistance but here's a glimpse of the initial view when I open it in PgcEdit.

Hi!

1) What is the Title and Region number of your original DVD?

2) What software and procedures did you use to rip it?

It depends on why it's doing this but normally the answer would be to use 'Trace mode' and the 'Jump to PGC upon DVD insert' functions built in to PgcEdit.

Here's a very comprehensive guide (http://www.digital-digest.com/~blutach/Jump2PGC/Jump2PGC_guide.html).

It looks a lot more complicated than it is but it's fairly simple in practice, so give it a go and see how you get on.

Wombler, I think EpheMeroN has already applied Jump2PGC, as lines 1 to 5 of the FP-PGC are the typical "signature" of that method.

EpheMeroN, have you tried the DVD on your player without applying Jump2PGC? Does it work?
Why do you jump to title 5? Is it the main movie? Does it have some post- or cell-commands?
Have you tried to jump to another title, or to the main menu?

Doh!

I should have spotted that and thanks for correcting me.

In that case my advice to EpheMeroN would be to either restore the disc in PgcEdit (assuming everything's backed up) or re-rip the disc and start from there.
