Hello

Firstly, I hope I posted this is the right area, I almost went to the DVD burning board, but this is a pretty basic question.

I made a video with my camera, it is in an .mpg format. I want to burn it to a DVD, but am not quite sure what software to use. I also have some .avi's I would like on a DVD, and again I don't know how to do it. I don't have any burning software on my computer that can do this, I generally use the Toshiba burning software, but it definitely wont cut it. I downloaded the Nero 9 trial, and it can do everything I want, but I really don't want to pay $70 for it. On doom9, there is a lot of programs I can download, but (I almost feel like I'm not seeing something) I can't seem to find one that will do this. Can someone recommend to me some freeware programs I can use to get these videos on a DVD? I don't need anything fancy at all, just to preform this simple task. Any help is appreciated.

Hi!

It sounds like you simply want to burn your .AVIs and MPEGs (data) to DVDs without converting them to DVD format.

If so, simply use (freeware) "IMGBurn" to burn the discs.

On the other hand, if your intention is to convert your .AVIs and MPEGs to compliant DVD format, I'd recommend that you first use easy-to-use (freeware) "DVD Flick" for the conversions and then burn with "IMGBurn"...

You may also want to give TFM (the film machine) a chance ;)
