I'm making a d2v index with DGIndex and i see high usage in disk activity

I'm wondering how disk heavy is and if its all read operations ?
Would it be faster with a faster SSD ?
Would it make a good disk benchmark ?

It's usually not the bottleneck, unless you have lots of disk thrashing from concurrent I/O from other operations (e.g. paging, caching, indexing, maybe some torrents). So ssd won't help in the majority of cases

I see. If i benchmark this, then this would be the only thing happening on the PC. Would it make a good test to diffrentiate different hard drives.
Have a look here and see if you can suggest something that would help a person working with a lot of video
