i've looked on google and found this site: http://lame.bakerweb.biz/
it has a 64bit lame.exe but cant find an ACM version, i need the ACM version so i can right click on LameACM.inf and choose "install", that way i can use lame in gordian knot. Not sure if there's another way or if someone has a link to a 64bit ACM version.
hope someone can help, thanks!

Is Gordian Knot available in 64 bit? if not then the 64-bit lame won't help at all!
When installing 32 bit lame ACM on 64 bit windows, you may need to install from the command line with the following command:
rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 C:\LameACM.inf
Where you replace C:\Lameacm.inf with the location of lame
(remember to use quotes if there's spaces in the path, such as:
"c:\folder\mp3 path\mp3 encoder\lameacm.inf"
That will then work with gordian knot. You can get the Lameacm from:
http://www.codecs.com/download/LAME_ACM_Codec.htm

a 64bit lame will be approx 25% faster than 32bit version regardless of whether gordian knot is 64bit or not. Thanks for the info but that would just allow the 32bit version to work on 64bit windows, i'm looking for a 64bit version to get faster speed.

You can't use a 64-bit acm codec in a 32-bit program.

Maybe someone succeed to compile lameACM with MinGW64 (http://www.drangon.org/mingw/)?
