I have a movie which is considered as the best that our film industry has to offer which has not been mastered well by any DVD company out there. The closest thing to a good transfer has been by a company known as Rapid Eye Movies and I have the source with me. It is 25 fps, PAL and progressive.

I want to seek help of the knowledgeable doom9 members and want to leverage their help in getting this movie cleaned up and looking better than ever.

If anyone is interested please do comment here.

In case any one is curious, the name of the movie is Sholay.
you can read up more on the movie here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sholay

Thanks in advance.:thanks:

Says who? Not I. :)

It looks like pretty much the same transfer as the one for my French Carlotta DVDs of this film. About all I did was sharpen it and boost the saturation (when converting to NTSC). If you want to try and remove the grain then be my guest, but I like grain and grain removal is either too slow, too damaging to the source, or both. In my opinion, of course.

Does yours have English subs? If so, for the songs also? Or does it only have German subtitles?
