Avidemux lag after moving the slider

Hey all,

I have a problem with avidemux. Everytime when I try to move the slider from the 1st frame to the last it lags and I cant continue with my work. But If I move the slider from 0 to 1000 it lags for 5min and then again... Can someone tell me what is the problem please ?

What kind of file are you trying to seek in?

Just an anime video that is 24min long with xvid codec avi file.

Use Avidemux to cut a small sample (make sure to cut on keyframes) and then open that separately in Avidemux and try to seek in there. If you still have the same problem, upload the sample and post a link here. If not, then (and you can try this anyway) use Avidemux to just copy the streams to a new AVI container. Some applications write a broken index for whatever reason and remuxing can fix that.

Thanks, it works now. :) The problem was that I was using a avs script. When I put the avi directly in the avidemux without the script it works without lagging. :)
