Scrolling credits on black background

Hi. Recently, I wanted to re-rip one quite old anime. All is fine but the credits are really annoy me. Is it possible to make them stop blinking, while keeping them readable?

They are interlaced.

either same rate deinterlacing (like tdeint(mode=2)) or bobbing+selecteven/odd will remove the interlacing.

Then, to match the framerate of your sample, you'd need a framerate conversion (mflowfps). Another option is to create a VFR clip.

Thanks for your help! Removing interlacing is not a big problem but after that credits still looks wrong. I will search and try all that you suggested exept VFR wich i really don't like.

They are not wrong... there are simply at a higher framerate than the episode. Since you have no background and that it's very easy for a framerate converter to estimate motion on scrolling credits, here's something you can try:

(made in a minute or so, not optimized)

super=msuper() #create the super clip for motion estimation (instead of idx for mvt2)
bv = MAnalyse(super,isb = true, blksize=8, overlap=4) #backward vector
fv = MAnalyse(super,isb = false, blksize=8, overlap=4) #forward vector
MFlowFps(last,super,bv, fv, 24000, 1001) #reduce the framerate of the clip to match the IVTCed episode's one

The painfully simple solution:

weave()
There's still a kind of periodic disturbance but if you match up another clip to that part you should be able to combine it to look perfect.

True, fast and simple, but they are still 29.97 fps and he doesn't want to go VFR. Maybe by replacing TGMC by your fast solution + mflowfps would do the trick.

VFR should be no harder then CFR so I don't see the problem.

If you want to do everything at 24fps, bob it to 60fps then use p60to24p to bring it down. Should work fine since there is no background motion.

Thank you guys. VFR is not a problem. As I say - this is only matter of taste. Anyway, this is just simple credits on black background. Until the motion is smooth - they are fine. And mflowfps gives acceptable result while converting to 24fps.
