Hi anyone tried Win7 CPU/GPU Compute Shader Transcoding yet and has some Data about possible settings and also information about Microsofts own H.264 Encoder Quality ?
Somehow i see no one reporting about it only officialy a little strange seems a little like no one has found this option yet in Win7 :P (should be integrated inside Device Stage as soon as a capable Media Playback Hardware is connected, just drag and drop a media file on it)

Would be nice if someone would try this for example with the PSP and report what he thinks of it, which Media Files it can use as input currently and what decision it made for the transcoded file (resolution, bitrate, profile) :) (posting mediainfo output and a sample of the CPU/GPU result)

Here you can see how it should work, though im not sure if it is already inside the RC or has been developed in secrecy in the lab main build (possible seeing no one reporting about it)

Also interesting to know would be is it prioritizing WMV on Devices that support it or is it asking the user what he might want if a Device supports H.264 and VC-1 (can the user chose this before ? in a settings Dialog like "allways transcode into WMV/H.264"), if the content is in neither compatible format for the Device of course ? (of course im almost 100% sure Microsoft prioritizing WMV on Devices that support it this could be a new EU case reason though in the future ;) )

although it looks good, i still prefer to encode my video with my settings rather than just letting the OS select settings for me.
