I am still kind of new at this. I use TSMuxer to output a .m2ts file to save space on my raid array. As an .m2ts file, I can convert it into an .mp4 to watch on my Blackberry and other portable devices.

I am trying to get just the main movie from Kung Fu Panda through TSMuxer. After I select the largest .m2ts file from the stream folder on the disc, I choose the HD video and the TRUE-HD audio file.(I downconvert to AC-3 to save space).

The resulting movie file is 4 hours and 22 minutes! The audio and video are both fine and synced up perfectly. It seems like it is adding all the deleted scenes to the output file.

Can anyone help me get just the main movie and explain why the final product is 4.5 hours?

Your answers are much appreciated.

Hi!The resulting movie file is 4 hours and 22 minutes!Did you determine this by viewing the video from start to finish - or by viewing a time display of a software player?

It seems like it is adding all the deleted scenes to the output file. Are you sure of this, or is it possibly repeating an earlier portion of the video?

When I skipped to the end of the movie in PowerDVD it displayed 4 hours and 22 minutes.

Well, I'm not sure of it, but it was the only thing I could think of that would stretch the movie to 4.5hrs. I havn't watched more than 5-10 minutes of it.
I did skip around quite a bit and it didn't seem to be repeating earlier scenes.

When playing an .M2TS file directly (rather than a BluRay "package"), Power DVD does not display the correct running time.

To see the correct time:

1) Use tsMuxeR to save as "BluRay"

2) Convert the BluRay "package" ("BDMV" and "CERTIFICATE" folders) to an .ISO image file

3) Mount the .ISO image file with "Virtual Clone Drive"

4) Play with PowerDVD - It will show the correct running time...

It worked. I usually leave the file as an .m2ts because its slightly less in size than an .iso. I didn't really think a player could display the wrong time, then again nothing is perfect haha.

Thanks.
