trying to upmix 2.0 .ac3 to 5.1 nero aac (.m4a). problems:
comes out faint but does 5.1
comes out 5.1 with left channel for all sound/dialogue
comes out 2.0 with left channel for all sound/dialogue

this also happens if the audio is originally 5.1 as well.

used search got way too many hits with lots of solutions but no consistency. a year or so ago encoding audio with megui worked right. since then ive had pc+OS changes so i dont have my old files backed up from back then (at least not all of them).

used megui, standalone sng, standalone belite install. none of it helps, just ends up with the problems above or a wonderful combo of them.

Hi!

You might try "eac3to"...

@setarip_old, eac3to still don't make upmix.

@B3-bomber, you have many guides in Sticky: GUIDE LIST: Stereo-to-Surround Conversion Guides (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=83752)

I like this one GUIDE: Converting stereo to 5.1 surround for FREE (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=105684), and you can change the output to NeroAacEnc instead Aften easily.
