Using AVS Quant Matrix Editor?

I have read about this Quant Matrix Editor, but don't know what it's actually used for and how it's properly used.

Can anyone shed some light on this? :rolleyes:

Honestly, if you don't know what's its for don't even bother. Matrix theory is hard to understand at best.

I have done matrices in maths. Didn't know how it's used for video encoding.

quantization matrices are related to... guess what? ... quantization.
first you have to understand what quantization is and how it is implemented in the encoder, then you may start understanding how quantization matrices "work".

Do you suggest any guide to understand that?
