Hello all,
I recently got a Tvix and am having trouble playing some downloaded files on it. Some .avi files lose the sound (even when I output in analogue), others won't play at all.
I'm wondering if anyone has put together a single set of instructions with recommended software that will let relatively unsophisticated users like me:
- Determine what format/container a recalcitrant file is in;
- Figure out what it is about the file that renders it incompatible with my hardware player;
- Re-encode the file on my PC so that it will play :-)
I just don't understand this stuff well enough to comb through Doom9 and figure out what I need to do without help.
Thank you!!
Laura F.
