Hi guys. Ive have been experimenting with MeGUI for some time now and have a couple questions if some of the more experienced users can help me.

ATM, I use MyMovies2 and Media Center for my BluRAY encodes.
On my 22" LG PC monitor I have found using:
The DXVA HD profile @ 3550-3600 bit rate and
Resize 1080P to 1280x720
Nero AAC multi channel @ 275 kbps comes out very good on this display.

The thing is I am purchasing a HD TV soon, likely a 46" or so. (my living room kinda small so I do not need much bigger)

My goal is to use MyMovies 2, and Media Center and stream my encode to the HD TV through HDMI.

So my questions are:

1. On a larger display should I be encoding at a higher bitrate? If so, whats a good approximate target generally speaking. It looks fine to me on a 22" but unsure about larger displays.

2. Sound. I do not know if Nero AAC multichannel will stream through HDMI. Would 640kbps AC3 be a better option?

3.Is resizing to 1280x720p still a good idea, or should I be shooting for higher bitrates and 1080 for streaming to a 46" display. from what Ive read on here, it would seem as if theres going to be very little diff. on anything smaller than 50"

4. Avisyth has been choosing the 23fps. Should i be altering this to 50 or so or will there be no diff. in what im wanting to do here?

5. And finally, is the DXVA HD profile Ok for what im attempting to do here or should I be using another.

I just want thing to look decent on a46" display streaming from Media Center. And all the original sources are 1080P BluRays.

I apologize for the Wall-O-Text.

Any advice is much appreciated. thanks

I assume that you see the programms in a window (not full-screen) and your display has more than 1280x720 pixels (my 15" laptop has more pixels ;)).

In this case [almost] any resolution looks good, because no interpolation occurs.

Keep the format as it is, the HDMI transports anyway the signal in decoded format, the only problems you may have would be the processing power (I think it's OK) and the length of the HDMI cable.

However, if you plan to stream the HD content over network (the HD source is elsewhere) you may have to reduce the bitrate to fit the 10/100/1000 requirements. Or if you plan to put it onto a DVDR.

Yes, the current display on this PC is 1680x1050
And no, when i open my Media center to watch the mkv files Ive encoded, its usually in full screen.

I just wasnt sure if by attempting to stream to a actual HD TV if this would still work the way I am encoding them, or if Itll end up being pixilated in a larger display.

Thanks for the advice :)

You won't have any pixelated display with any HD-TV unless you provide it with non standard resolutions (I think most TV simply refuse to play them). BTW, there are 2 more issues:
1. some TVs have a special input for PCs (Media PCs included) that accept also "Windows resolutions". Check the manual. And I think these are HDCP free but I cannot guarantee...
2. the output of the GraphicCard should be HDCP-compatible, otherwise you may end with a black screen (if you connect the PC through a HDMI cable to regular HDMI inputs)

I'm not the right guy for this answer because I HATE TO read books, hear music and watch movies on a PC.

And by streaming most people understand network streaming, ie a file server or a PVR connected to a media player by LAN or W-LAN.
