Hi,

I tried different ways to remove the chroma noise and rainbowing from an LD capture of Star Wars (fft3d & derainbow). But I just can't get it right. Could someone please help me? I uploaded 2 small clips:

I'd really appreciate some help.

Did you try ChubbyRain2() ?

Try BiFrost, and to brute force the rest DFMDeRainbo. BiFrost pre-IVTC, DFM post.

What purpose would BiFrost do in this case, while DFMDR is in place before deinterlacing?

Both are rainbow killers. DFM = post IVTC, or deinterlace...

Thanks for the help guys. I really appreciate the suggestions. One question though, DFMDR should be able to handle yuy2 input right? But when I run the script I get an error saying deen need yv12 input. I would like to keep yuy2 input. Is that possible?

Yes, don't use deen. There are better sharpeners out there....
