Hi to everyone,
I'm a DVD-Rebuilder user and may be someone else already asked a question like that but...
...I don't remember exactly where I read it so I'll try to ask you again.

How can I encode just one "clip", I mean a small part, of a previously full ripped DVD?
In case I can't do that with DVD-Rebuilder, can I even use DVD2SVCD to do that? If yes how?

Thanks,
Stefano

I have successfully used good old DVDShrink (authoring mode, specify start/end frames) to extract small clips in order to test DVD Rebuilder.

Hi Groucho2004 and thanks for your reply

I see your point...but have you never used DVD-Rebuilder or DVD2SVCD to extract those small clips?
I read somewhere the way to do that, but I can't remember where.

Are you thinking of the force reencoding (for filters) option?
Or maybe you're looking to blank segments?

Hi dialysis1 and thanks for your help too.

Is it an option of DVD-Rebuilder or what?
I never used it, what this option does?

Thanks!

P.S.
I just find out the option you was talking about but unfortunately I don't think we're in the right way with that!

Your posts are a bit confusing.
Are you taking a movie and looking to output a small clip or do you already have a small clip and looking to reencode it?
You can blank most of the movie leaving only a portion of it but it may not have the start and end points that you desire. For that, it's best to use DVD Shrink as mentioned by Groucho2004.

well...confusing?
I don't think so...BTW what I'm looking for is the right procedure to encode (extract) just a small clip from a full ripped DVD instead of just the full one.
of course using DVD-Rebuilder...
