Source is bluray disc, but when I want to rip it, I found it has some strange problem, it looks like some horiizontal lines, I think maybe due to bad upsacle algorithm while making the bd?
Snapshoot is like the left one of the picture following. The right one is a snapshot from some otherone's rip got from my friend. His rip looks much better but I don't know what has he done with the source.

The bd source is NTSC 29.97fps, and I have done ivtc using TIVTC, the snapshot is snapped after doing ivtc. But I don't think it is an ivtc problem, because the lines look almost the same before and after ivtc.
I want to know what's the problem with the source and how can I deal with this source? Thanks a lot.

What is the script you used to produce the screenshot? What software did you use to make the screenshot?
It looks lke bad chroma upsampling to me (CUE), either in your script or in the application you used to make the screenshot.
Post a link to a small sample of your unprocessed source material.

The source is m2ts from bluray disc, I don't konw how to cut it to small piece...
About the source screenshot, I just use dgavcindex to generate .dga file from m2ts, and wirte an avs script just like AVCSource("somewhat.dga"), open the avs with VirtualDubMod and video->snapshot output frame, then got the bmp file. About the screenshot from ripped video (the video is an mp4 file), I open it with media player classic and make the snapshot. Then I edit the two bmp files using MS-Palnt.
But in my opinion, it does'nt look like a chroma upsampling problem, I wonder the source itself is just that bad.

Use DGSplit in segment mode to cut a piece of the M2TS.
Why would your friend's rip be OK if the source is bad as you suggest?
Without the sample, there's no way to help you.
It could easily be CUE, because VirtualDubMod always upsamples progressively. Try this at the end of your script:
ConvertToYUY2(interlaced=true)

I cut the m2ts file using tsMuxer and it can be downloaded here: http://download.yousendit.com/U0d3blRtSys5eFhIRGc9PQ
About your first question, [rule 6 related discussion deleted] I think there may be some avs filters that can deal with such problem but I don't know what they are, that's why I post the thread in this board.
About your second question, I tried add the line to my script but it looks almost the same.
Thanks a lot for your help!

Can you upload it again? Maybe to mediafire instead.
