That's because VirtaulDub(Mod) relies on "Video for Windows" (VFW) Codecs. There is a VFW version of x264 available at this (http://x264vfw.sourceforge.net/) place, but it's highly recommended to not use x264 through VFW. I won't discuss the reasons once again, because this has been discussed a million times (use search!) and because I don't want to start yet another flamewar. I can only recommend to keep away from VirtualDub (especially from the totally outdated and discontinued "Mod" version) for the task of H.264 encoding. Instead use the x264 CLI (http://x264.nl/) encoder. If you don't want to encode from the console (or use your own batch script), then choose your preferred x264 GUI font-end (MeGUI, RipBot264, StaxRip, Handbrake, etc, etc) or give Avidemux (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=126164) a try!

BTW: Please don't post huge screenshots in full size. Post a thumbnail or a link ;)
