What can throw this error?

I use software that opens DGIndex in HIDE mode to create D2Vs, and this has happened randomly with a bunch of MPEG-2 Program Streams.

The only thing "unusual" about these would be their uncompressed PCM audio tracks, 4:2:2 color, and 80mbps CBR.

What would make DGIndex die with this error?

Opening these files manually and creating the D2V in the usual way works fine...

The command line is specifing a bad path or file name.

Okay, looks like it must be a bug with our front-end then.

I'll do some debugging.

No other conditions can cause this error message (assuming valid input files)?

Yep, issue resolved. The problem was in parsing funky folder structures. Simplified the naming convention and no complaints ;)
