slower transcodes in win7 rc?

i just installed windows 7 rc and i've noticed a hit on transcode speeds vs vista.

both of the os are of the 64 bit flavor. my files went from taking 12 hours in vista to 28 hours in win7.

biggest difference i've seen is that in vista my cpu gets pegged to 100% on all 4 cores to max where in win7 i see it bouncing around from 47% to 100%. mind you i'm just using the built in cpu monitor gadget that comes with both os.

anyone else having this same problem i have? any resolution?

Not me. When I went from XP to 7 beta I got an increase in fps. /shrug

I'm running an E8400 though. Maybe it's different with quads.

something is horribly wrong. i'm getting .25 fps and ffdshow isnt showing up in the system tray
