View Full Version : Needing An Audio Mpeg1-Layer2 Encoder (VDub or any mod version)
Is there a plugin/filter to encode with this format ?
I prefer it over mp3 or other lossy audio everytime. Cannot find one or a way to encode with atm though. Anyone got any idea.

Is there an ACM version of TwoLAME that could be used with VirtualDub(Mod) ???
BTW: Avidemux comes with TwoLAME built-in ;)

Thanks just downloaded both of these and will have a look at them. I know AviDemux i have no problems with converting to mpeg1 layer2 audio.
Mulder I started to look for this before you told me that AviDemux can import avisynth filters. Didn't realise previously until i looked at the gui more. Finaly found them in the settings !!. Maybe other avidemux users haven't realised this yet ?
Ok it's avidemux first to see if work well with avisyth filters, plugins etc. If not then i have vdub and toolame to use.
Thanks for the toolame tips. :)
Ah well i decided to figure out vdub first, lots of avisynth filters i am collecting. Really should try one or two first to be sure they work.
Anyway toolame doesn't work within vdub as its a standalone tool (cli). Or use with besweet etc gui's.
Qmpeg.acm
Is all anyone needs after right click its .ini file to install, then do a reboot. First file i encoded plays with mpc and vlc, gspot even tells me it is mpeg1-layer2. Loaded into graph edit shows its using the standard windows filters with xvid decoder and plays ok.
LOL mp2 or mpeg1-layer2 audio video encoding with vritualdub.
Oh btw when selecting the compression i changed the conversion to 48000Hz etc i showed me 47999Hz in vdub originaly, show all formats gave me the list for 48000Hz encoding.
Now to avidemux and the avisynth plugins.
