Hello, What I want to do is to keep the exposure settings for my webcam. But as fast as I move the slide bar far to the right then it suddenly resets back and there is nothing I can do to prevent that. It shows me the Image that I want for a second and then goes back…
I've been having this problem over years and in several computers too. So I can barely say what it is and how to prevent it... maybe drivers?
I found out that Virtual VCR was the most compelling software around in order to manage and save webcam settings. But I’m still stick with the exposure settings which moves backs when I force it to high (for I.E. there is certain times, when I have an extreme low light environment, and I’d like to force the exposure in order to get at least an image. I don’t concern about frame rates, and I don’t care about how creepy the images were captured at all).
My specs are:
- Windows xp Pro Sp2 almost up to date (mid 2008).
- A cheap and old USB webcam Kocom KMC-88i
- My computer is Fast, good, and clean.
Here is a video that I’ve captured which is much more informative that what I’ve said before. (The file is encoded in Xvid, and the size is 1.5 Mb for 40’’ long).
