View Full Version : Troubles with a interlaced anime
I'm sorry for asking this, because maybe it's in the forums but I can't find it.
I'm anime I usually found Telecined with a 3:2 pattern. But with this I don't know what it is, it seems that the are jerky progresive frame with some interlaced from time to time (not any exact number of frames). I tried with tfm and decimate but it does some weird things

I don't think if it's a full interlaced because they are not with de horizontal bars everywhere, so I don't know what to do.
Here I add a little sample off 6MB extracted with dgindex with honor pulldown flags

Also I know that it needs colormatrix and resize in the avisynth script but the main trouble seems to be in the interlaced.
Thanks a lot for your time.

inb4neuron2 && rule 6
It's simply more BS-I/TBS/satellite garbage. It is telecined so tfm().tdecimate(mode=1) should (sort of) work fine on it.
The dot crawling is an issue but then again, it's BS garbage.
In the end, it's just a **** (crap) source so just try and deal with it best you can.

But vfr is fabulous...
(it was a joke)
(is this not off topic and better discussed in a pm?)
I don't know why, but tfm does things so funny like these:

It seems that telecide does this work better, and algo it's the first time I tried the FFT3DFilter with mode=4 and it seems that improves some glitches but is so slooooooooow.
And about the offtopic: Some day I should try to use VFR :p

Telcide should not do a better job (it probably does a worse job, especially with marking frames to postprocess)
Freezeframing can clean some of it up if you really want to do it.
It's a matter of (crap in->crap out). It's your source which is causing such artifacts not tfm. Blame the crappy Japanese satellite companies if you don't like your sources.

That anime is K-on!, isn't it?
That anime is K-on!, isn't it?
Yes It is ^_^
And it's the worse source I've ever seen (even worse than the resizes of BS11 from 480 to 1080)

I haven't checked out K-on!, but maybe you can get your Raws from a different source?
but maybe you can get your Raws from a different source?
What do you mean by that? What is a "raw" and where do you get them?

A "raw" is usually a rule 6 violation and AFAIK you get them from "teh internet"...
Yes, I knew that. I was hoping for a confession. Thread closed.
