Hi mates,
Can I use d2s to extract audio files from a previously ripped DVD?
If not which good procedure do you recommend?

Thanks for any help,
Stefano.

Not everyone knows what "d2s" is.

And what do you mean by "previously ripped"? You mean you have the DVD structure on your disk or you have transcoded it to something?

Finally, don't ask what's best, per forum rule 12.

To extract audio files from a DVD ripped in your hard disk is enough DGIndex (included in DVD2SVCD).

But the DGIndex included in last DVD2SVCD 1.2.3 is the v1.4.5, you can download the last version v1.5.4 from neuron2 site (http://neuron2.net/dgmpgdec/dgmpgdec.html)

BTW all the soft included in DVD2SVCD is a bit outdated, now we encode video to MPEG4 (Xvid for 'old' hard players or h264 for new players) instead MPEG2. Try MeGUI

No, your original post before I edited it read as follows:

"If not which is the best procedure do you recommend?"

@tebasuna51
thanks for your reply mate.

I'll take a look to MeGUI

Bye,
stefano.

P.S.
I just seen from your signature a program called BeHappy....It seems to be good to use instead of BeSweet

Is an AviSynth method to replace BeSweet (abandoned and with propietary code).

In MeGUI the same method (simplified) is used for transcode/manage the audio.

MeGUI also use DGIndex to extract audio from DVD ripped.

neuron2 can't say that, but ... yes DGIndex is the b... good anf free procedure to extract the audio from DVD ripped.
