Hi all,

Im newbie in Ripping ..I wanna know what are the good denoising filters that are used in Ripping ...

I know some filters like undot,fluxsmooth,vaguedenoiser,fft3w filter but im trying to find out the fast and good filter and also any information abt blur removals ...I dont have any idea regarding this

Any help in this ....

Man, you better just run some searches, because this is a whole can of worms.

For one, we have no idea what "fast" is to you, what machine you are encoding on, what your source is, etc.

Here is a good rule of thumb though. The "better" a filter is, the slower it is.

Just search and read, and you will find your answer(s).

Typically, that's very true.

The big exception is fft3dgpu, which is basically free provided you have a good graphics card. Another surprisingly fast entrant is MDegrain2, if you have a quad-core processor (and only really for SD content ;)).

Thanks for the replies ... Source is typically NTSC and mine is 3GB ram notebook ....is there any suggestion ...and i wanna remove the blur to ...is there any suggestions for that

Some good/fast denoisers would be degrainmedian, hqdn3d, and Removegrain. To reduce blur, try using a light unsharpmask (there is one that is part of the warpsharp package) or lsfmod. You can get all of these at http://avisynth.org/warpenterprises/.
