View Full Version : Is Fixing an A/V Sync Problem Purely Guess Work?

I recently encoded Inside Man, but the video lags behind the audio at a constant rate. I tried adjusting it, but it seemed that no matter how much I played with it, I couldn't get it "just right". Is there any sort of program that can calculate the delay that should be added to sync things up perfectly without having to resort to trial and error to get it as close as possible? Thank you.

Are you trying to backup a DVD?
In that case it might be some "empty" cells in the beginning of the movie. Use DGIndex to remove the first cells and the movie will always be in sync.

Hmmm...that's a good idea. Never thought of that. Should I just indiscriminately erase all of the empty cells at the beginning? Thanks.
