Film Remastering system

If it is possible for a high powered PC to capture a movie film and remaster it then burn to DVD, what hardware would be needed and what software could do this? Please give details.

When you say film, do you mean the celluloid stuff that you can pick up with your hands and twist about? Yes it is possible, but you need a specific film reader device to actually get the film into a digital form. Those devices can be thousands and thousands of dollars. There are companies that can do what you ask, for a fraction of the price since they already own the equipment. Just do some searching, or some of them are actually members so they may post their services here if you desire.
