Hi,

I encode a .avi file from vegas and set the option "disable resample" to the differents sequences.

When vegas encode I can read "No Compression requiered" and it goes faster.

The problem is that when I try to make a x264 compression with megui I have the error "empty stats file".

The .avs seems ok.

I m not sure that I the problem comes from megui because when I change the option "disable resample" to "smart resample" it works but the quality is terrible ^^

Any idea ? I don't want to encode my movie in a .avi file :)

Thanks

It sounds like you are trying to encode to x264 using a 2nd pass without completing a first pass. Check your encode profile and make sure that it is set for automatic 2 pass completion.

Otherwise, the situation you are describing makes no logical sense for the error. There is somewhere in your work chain that the error is occurring.

And what "resample" option are you referring to? when it comes to the exporting of video files (the "Render As.." option) there is no option that refers to resampling. And depending on the file that you are editing, you will most likely need compression anyways, as your are editing in a destructive environment.
