Hello,

I have a Ubuntu Desktop server, Quad Core Q6600, 4GB RAM. I am trying to run meGUI using Wine, but it doesn't really run.

I tried running the meGUI.exe via. Wine, but the exe doesn't run. It says "Starting meGUI" in task bar, but it never loads.

Anyone knows how to run meGUI on Ubuntu?

Thanks!

Hmm... I'm now trying to use Windows XP on VMWare to make meGUI work . I'm on the ubuntu forum getting help tp successfully install the virtual machine :).

It would be great if Wine starts supporting .NET frameworks or if you guys release a basic encoder for Linux :D.

try avidemux :)

I used avidemux, but manual scripting in meGUI gives better results. Is there a way to use avisynth scripting with AVIdemux?

I used avsproxy with AVIdemux and the result keeps me happy, but how do I encode the sound? It just encoded the video, not the sound. I am reading the video from a D2V file. I did select audio as AC3 with 96 kbps bitrate, but it didn't encode the audio.

I tried BeHappy and BeSweet, but they don't encode the audio. The GUI just let's me select options, but the "AC3 to AC3" button.

Is there any way to encode AC3 files using a GUI on linux?
