View Full Version : AvideMUX - Why dose it only copy?

How come sometimes I have a xvid that can not be encoded for some reason.. I load it in AvideMUX and select it to convert and stuff.. but it when teh encoding dialoige comes up it is only copying the data?

Most likely because you have set "Video" to "COPY" on the left side menu !?

If you did select "MPEG-4 ASP (Xvid)" instead of "COPY", Avidemux would encode your video using the Xvid encoder ;)

Also possible that you are interpreting the encoding dialog wrongly...

No.. I do not have it set to copy.....

As you can see i have the it set to encode but the encoding windws is copy the video data.

In your screenshot, it IS encoding the VIDEO but copying the AUDIO.

Which exactly matches the settings he had chosen :D

(So my theory that he was interpreting the encoding dialog wrongly turned out to be correct)
