intra prediciton in H264 AVC tasks diagram

i am working to optimize H264 encoder
i will proceed by hardware implementation and temporel partitionning so i need the task diagram of intra prediction as input for my temporel partitionning alghorithm
i am working on the JM sftware and i don't understand well how does it work for intra prdiction
which functions to call in the lencod.c ? is there a soft that can give me the task diagrame of the JM software
