Who / what is www.h264encoder.com ?

I've just come across this h.264 encoder :

V 1.5 dated 14/1/2009

It's an extremely basic encoder with no configuration. MediaInfo says next-to-nothing about the video stream, reporting only the following fourCC : isom, which doesn't exist on fourcc.org.

anyone know who is behind this encoder ?

who or what? the later is obviously ffmpeg compiled with libx264.

Im sure there is a possibility that criminals would use such freeware OS based software to infect people with rootkits or other malicious code, so personaly i would be very very careful executing this, especially if someone tries to hide who he is :P

h264encoder.dll is ffmpeg with a large number of GPL libraries linked in. Why would you bother violating the GPL without even making any money from it?
