Hi,
No matter what format I import as a source in Avidemux, v2.4 stable and v2.5 . I always end up seeing a green preview window, EVERY TIME.
If I import some .flv file, it says something about some unrecognized audio format (AAC) and crashes completely.

A green screen usually indicates an unsupported video format...

Hi Lord_Mulder,
It means Avidemux does not support Youtube .flv or .mp4 files ?

First of all, Avidemux supports the FLV container as well as the MP4 container. Also it supports the FLV1 video format as well as the H.264 video format.
Therefore files "downloaded" from Youtube should be supported, as these usually are FLV1 in a FLV container -or- H.264 in a MP4 container.
Anyway, if you can't get your file to work with the latest revision of Avidemux, then please post the MediaInfo report and/or provide a sample file...

It seems Avidemux isn't prepared for H.264 and AAC in a FLV container :o
What you can try: Demux your FLV file with FLV Extract (http://www.moitah.net/) and then re-mux the streams with MKV Toolnix (http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?p=933870&postcount=1) -or- YAMB (http://kurtnoise.free.fr/index.php?dir=Yamb/). The resulting MKV/MP4 file should open in Avidemux :)
Another option: Use Avisynth input via AVSProxy(GUI). FFVideoSource() does handle that FLV file...

Any prospect of this being fixed soon? (still doesn't work in 2.5.1)
Demuxing with FLVExtract and remuxing with Yamb to mp4 works (Avidemux can then read the mp4), but direct support would clearly be more convenient.
