why don't you ask your friend? I'm sure he knows better on the specified setting than us guessing on what he did

BTW why do we need to "make it fast"? In order to learn something you need to start with the basics. Plus, you own the original so what's the rush?

Those filters are essentially secondary, IMO. Focus on ripping correctly, serving to Avisynth with DGIndex, color correction->deinterlacing or IVTC if necessary -> cropping -> resizing in Avisynth, and encoding the video at a sensible bitrate with appropriate options. You can mess around with the image in a more granular way when you already have all that down.

ok.. only color correction is enough

MeGUI will correct color automatically in the default Avisynth settings using Colormatrix().

Yes there is a differnece in quality .Try divxtodvd or avi2dvd. Both programs are free. The vso program is a lot easier to use though the encoders with avi2dvd are better but slower.

That isn't what he's trying to do.

Are the 2 pictures above from the same movie? If not then you're comparing apples to oranges.

Give us the script you used and then give us a small sample of the source - 10 seconds or so with movement.
