I have some Matroska video files that I couldn't play in WMP 11 or MPCHC . I could hear the Audio , but saw no video.

The video Codecs is Advanced Video Codecs _ V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC , and the audio Codecs is Vorbis _ A_VORBIS .

So installed the Haali Media Splitter , and now I can play the .mkv file and see the video in WMP 11 , but not in MPCHC . I just hear the audio in MPCHC.
I also use ffdshow audio decoder along with the Haali Media Splitter . And I tried playback with and with-out ffdshow video decoder , but either way I saw no video in MPCHC.
My computer is a Dell Win XP Pro SP3.
Feed back will be appreciated.

If you can hear the audio, there is nothing wrong with the reading of the .mkv file as the audio is in it.

Sounds like something might be wrong with your video decoder. Try turning off or changing the internal H264/AVC decoders in MPC-HC (seeing as you have ffdshow installed, that should be used instead if you have no other decoders available).

Also, try different 'Directshow Video' output options. Perhaps VMR9 works, and EVR does not.
